Antecedents For the creation of academic programs, it is necessary to recognize the social need that is intended to be addressed and explore various tools to understand that need. One of these tools is consulting experts and employers. Methodology This study aims to analyze the perception of experts and employers regarding the viability and feasibility of creating a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. Eleven experts in the field of sports management, working in both public and private institutions in this area, participated. A virtual group interview was conducted with six experts, while a structured survey was administered to five experts via Google Forms. Results It was found that the experts advocate for a greater specialization in the administrative aspect of sports, which can be achieved through the creation of a sports management program. This area has traditionally been served by business administrators, lacking the sports component. Originality it has been established this way through expert consultation to develop a new bachelor program by a virtual and presential way. It is important to recognize that consulting experts is just one of the phases in the creation of educational programs.
